Call for Papers: Perspectives on the Impact of Race on Psychological Processes
We are opening submissions for consideration for a special issue titled "Perspectives on the Impact of Race on Psychological Processes".
This issue will be published in the seventh year of the journal, due out in December 2021.
For this theme, the editors will consider manuscripts across a broad area of psychological research on race and psychological processes including such topics as:
Attitudes and beliefs about people of color
Identity development of people of color
Impact of historical reckoning — including federal, state, and local policies — on health and well-being, including cognitive functioning and decision making
Race, psychology, and the criminal justice system
The impact of race information in basic cognitive constructs like perception, memory and decision making
Mental health disparities
Testing equity
Importance of and challenges involved in recruiting and studying people of color, including ethical considerations
People of color in academic settings; developing a diverse academy
Racism and privilege
