Position Introduction. As part of Vassar College’s five-position Cluster Hire Initiative in the Study of Race, Racism, and Racial Justice, the Department of Psychological Science invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position for a scholar whose research investigates psychological dimensions of prejudice, discrimination, and racial justice, and/or psychological factors involved in racial and ethnic outcome disparities. The position will begin fall 2022.

Position Description. A commitment to excellence in undergraduate research and teaching is required. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory psychology, research methods, as well as intermediate and advanced courses in the candidate’s area of interest. Evidence of college-level teaching is therefore preferred. Further, a Ph.D. is required for this position, and we anticipate that applicants primarily will come from the areas of social psychology, cultural psychology, developmental psychology or community psychology.
