The Department of Psychology and the Neuroscience Program in the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) at Temple University are seeking to hire a behavioral neuroscientist for a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor. Candidates should be prepared to lead a dynamic and rigorous research program with strong potential for external funding. They should also be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The specific area of research is open, although we are particularly interested in applicants with interests that complement the research interests of current faculty in the Cognition and Neuroscience area of the Department. The earliest start date for the appointment would be July 1, 2022, although later dates are possible.

The successful applicant will have a faculty appointment in the Department of Psychology, which houses a strong doctoral program that embraces collaboration across areas of study. The faculty member would also contribute to the CLA Neuroscience Program and the associated undergraduate and Master’s programs in Neuroscience.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. is required by the time of appointment.
