Postdoctoral Researcher and a Research Coordinator at UT Austin (The Memory and Aging Lab: P.I. Audrey Duarte)
Postdoctoral Position
Will spearhead research related to individual differences in psychosocial and lifestyle factors and their contribution to episodic memory and related neural activity across the adult lifespan. Studies utilize fMRI, waking and sleep EEG, univariate, and multivariate statistical analyses.
Responsibilities
Design experiments
Collect behavioral, EEG, or fMRI data
Analyze data
Write scientific manuscripts and present research
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field (PhD, to be received no more than three years prior to start date, required)
Experience collecting and analyzing EEG and/or fMRI
Experience in episodic memory and/or cognitive aging research
Demonstrated ability to use in one or more programming languages for data analysis (i.e. Python, Matlab)
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
A solid publication record
Prior experience collecting polysomnography data and sleep scoring
Experience or interest in working in ethnically diverse populations
Ability to speak and understand Spanish
