Postdoc Fellowship in Aging - Washington University in St. Louis

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN AGING at Washington University in St. Louis, Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences, will be available as early as Sept 2024 with some flexibility on the appointment date.  Fellowships, sponsored by the National Institute on Aging, are for 1 to 3 years and are designed to train psychologists for academic and research careers in the psychology of aging. Our postdoctoral training program provides trainees the opportunity for high-quality mentored research, course work, seminars and workshops with experts in the areas of cognitive changes in aging, cognitive neuroscience of aging, personality and socio-emotional aging, and translational impact. Fellows carry out their own research under the supervision of a faculty preceptor and a mentoring committee and have access to travel and training-related funds. See our website for specific current faculty interests. Prior training in aging is not required of applicants. Fellows must be citizens, noncitizen nationals, or permanent residents of the United States. Send a cover letter, statement of research interests and curriculum vitae, and have three letters of reference submitted, through https://jobs.wustl.edu (position#JR80987). Please also feel free to contact the program directors at dhead@wustl.edu or jzacks@wustl.edu. Initial review will begin immediately. The Aging Program and the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences seek and value diversity, which we define as individual differences that include physical ability, culture, ethnicity, gender, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and veteran status.
