Assistant Professor of Psychology at Assumption University

Job Description: 

The Department of Psychology at Assumption University (Worcester, MA) invites  applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor.  Individuals with specialization in biological psychology or human neuroscience, broadly  defined, are particularly encouraged to apply. 

Candidates must be committed to undergraduate teaching and advising as well as service  to the university and greater community. The ideal candidate would teach introductory  and advanced courses for the psychology and neuroscience majors, as well as fundamental courses in statistics and research methods. In addition, the candidate will  have the opportunity to develop courses within their area of expertise. Candidates must  also be able to provide evidence of scholarship and promise of developing a research  program. We are especially interested in candidates whose research program can offer  opportunities for undergraduate student collaboration.

Requirements: 

Candidates must hold a doctorate in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely related  discipline by the date of hire. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred.  Candidates must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well  as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
