Tenure-track Assistant Professor University of Alabama

The Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama has an opening for one tenure-track faculty position starting August 16, 2020, subject to availability of funding. We seek to add an additional colleague to the Cognitive Concentration in the Department of Psychology. Currently, the cognitive psychology program includes three psychology department faculty members with interests in spatial cognition, creativity, cognitive aging, cognitive neuroscience and decision making. Productive scholars from all areas of cognitive psychology are encouraged to apply. This position offers ample opportunities for collaboration with social psychologists, basic and applied developmental scientists, clinical geropsychologists, clinical health psychologists and faculty in our psychology and law concentration. Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research mentoring, and development of a research program with the potential for external funding.
