Human Research Technologist

The Center for Language Science (CLS) at Penn State seeks candidates for the position of a Human Research Technologist (Lab Manager/Research Assistant). The CLS (http://cls.psu.edu/) is an interdisciplinary group of linguists, psycholinguists, applied linguists, speech-language pathologists, speech scientists, and cognitive neuroscientists who share an interest in language acquisition and bilingualism. CLS researchers employ a variety of methods including behavioral measures, eye tracking, electrophysiological methods (EEG/ERP), and fMRI. 

A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Skills and experience with some programs such as ELAN, E-prime, Ibex Farm, MATLAB, Praat, Python, and R, are desirable.
