Research Lab Manager - ChiLDS' Lab (Arredondo)
The Child Learning & Development Studies’ Lab (the ChiLDS’ lab), under the supervision of Dr. Maria M. Arredondo, is seeking a full-time Spanish-English bilingual research coordinator (i.e., lab manager). The ChiLDS’ Lab is housed in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. Preferred start date is (as soon as possible) May 1st, 2020. Review of applications is ongoing until position is filled. The position is a term appointment of one year with possibility of renewal.
Required Qualifications
The applicant must be willing to commit to varied weekly shifts (evenings & weekends) for a total of up to 40 hours/week.
Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, communication sciences and disorders, or related cognitive science fields
Proficiency in both Spanish and English (spoken and written)
One or more years of research experience
Strong organizational, managerial, and problem-solving skills
Computer skills
Have excellent communication skills with young children and families
Be able to get tasks done efficiently
Be detail-oriented, motivated, creative, organized, and able to work independently
