Postdoctoral Position in Cognitive Neuroscience in the Department of Neurology at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University (BRAGA Lab)
The Braga Lab is seeking a postdoc who is enthusiastic about studying how large-scale networks in the human brain relate to cognition. In particular, we seek to study how activity within distributed circuits supports cognitive faculties such as language and recollection, as well as the mechanisms through which different circuits interact. To answer these questions, the candidate will use a multimodal combination of techniques, including individual-level ‘precision’ functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), intracranial recordings in awake humans (intracranial electroencephalography or iEEG) and intracranial brain stimulation.
We strongly encourage candidates from underrepresented groups to apply. Under the mentorship of Rodrigo M. Braga, PhD, the candidate will have the opportunity to lead and assist in research projects, including data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation, mentorship of younger trainees, presentations at internal, national and international meetings, and publication of results.
We are a new lab in the Department of Neurology at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, located in the heart of Chicago. Come join a thriving community of neuroscientists in a vibrant city, and be a part of an ambitious and supportive research team.
Applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) in neuroscience, psychology, biology, engineering, computer science, or other related fields. Experience with coding and/or running experiments is desirable, but the applicant will have the opportunity to be trained in these techniques. Interested candidates should email their CV, a one-page cover letter describing their research interests and skills, and contact information for three references to rbraga@northwestern.edu.
